Charlie Yeh

Founder and Executive Director

Charlie Yeh is the Founder and Executive Director of APLUS Education. He received an M.A. in Statistics and Actuarial Science from the University of Iowa and is a professionally trained actuary. He is also an Associate Member of IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association). With over two decades of corporate experience in risk management, Mr. Yeh also finds his passion in education.

After recognizing there was a need for supplementary education, Mr. Yeh began to recruit certified teachers to teach students in grades 3-12 both math and writing. In 1998, APLUS was established as a way to advocate the importance of learning and provide quality academic services to the local community. Over the years, APLUS has expanded to provide private tutoring, test preparation, as well as college advisory services. APLUS's mission and vision reflect Mr. Yeh's personal belief that good teachers are the key to unlocking a student's potential. Despite the changing landscape of education, he has never deviated from this one value. This element, along with small classes and individualized attention, have led to unparalleled results in student achievements at APLUS.

Mr. Yeh loves teaching math (especially SAT and Magnet Prep) and enjoys talking to students and parents, especially when it comes to how he can provide the resources to further their education.

Jocelyn Park

Director

Jocelyn Park joined APLUS in October 2016 as Director with over six years of experience in intercultural education and exchange. In her current position, she oversees Marketing and Operations. Most recently, she spearheaded and launched APLUS's social media marketing campaign. Her favorite part of the job is engaging with the students, teachers, and parents. She strongly believes that education has the power to change the world and her dream is to see the next generation be well-equipped to provide new and innovative solutions to today's problems.

Prior to APLUS , Jocelyn was a Program Associate at Meridian International Center, a premier non-profit, global leadership organization located in Washington, D.C. She has implemented and facilitated over 30 international exchange programs with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (ECA), U.S. Trade and Development Agency, as well as U.S. Embassies worldwide.

From 2010-2013, Jocelyn spent time abroad, studying Public Diplomacy at the University of Oxford and working in Marketing/Public Relations in East Asia. She speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and conversational French. Jocelyn obtained her M.A. in International Communication from American University's School of International Service and her B.S. in Finance from University of Maryland, College Park.

Jocelyn’s unique experiences have fostered her passion for education and she seeks to continue building relationships and creating capacity in this field of work. In her free time, Jocelyn is a Bar Method instructor and enjoys helping others achieve their fitness goals.

Aoli Zhang

Assistant Manager

Aoli Zhang obtained her B.A. in Finance from Ohio State University. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree, she worked for Walt Disney World for a year. In 2014, she obtained her M.S. in Supply Chain Management from the University of Maryland, College Park. She has been with APLUS for the past 2 years as an Assistant Manager and enjoys In her free time, she enjoys traveling and watching movies.
