Purpose: The Back-To-School Warm-up Camp provides an excellent opportunity for students to warm up and get ready before school begins. This warm up camp is especially helpful in preparing for placement tests that schools usually give in the beginning of the school year.
Format: This warm-up camp is not of a class format. There is no teacher instruction. Instead, each student will work on a packet of worksheets and/or practice tests during the one-week period. This packet was carefully designed and developed by APLUS teaching staff, and includes a review of topics students learned in the last semester and preview of new concepts students are about to learn in the new semester. Many teaching assistants will be on site to help students on an individual basis. Most of them are college students. These teaching assistants are interviewed and screened by the APLUS directors and are well-qualified to provide tutoring assistance.
